Basketball Handicapping / WNBA Line Report July 7
« on: July 07, 2017, 08:00:36 PM »
Interesting that both games have dropped a couple of points in totals even though the majority of bets have come in on the over. I have the Atlanta game going under and SA going over on my numbers.

Indiana has also gotten decent reverse movement, with the Fever now favored by 1.5 despite getting the minority of the bets. Phoenix has jumped up to 11-point favorites, when the betting percentages say they shouldn't have climbed that high.

The big line moves haven't been all that great in the WNBA so far this year.

Padres have continued to get reverse movement all day, as the line has dropped from Phils -140 to -115.

Toronto still getting a little play.

Boston and Yankees have been big movers, even though Yankees are a steep price.

The Pirates are getting some reverse action this morning, as are the Padres.

The Giants, Blue Jays and White Sox are also getting a bit of respect from bettors.

The under in the Tampa Bay game looks like a bit of a wise guy play, as does the over in both Los Angeles games.

Basketball Handicapping / WNBA July 5 Morning Line Report

Only one of the three games show the slightest of sharp action, which is Washington at Phoenix, where there looks to be a little smart money on Phoenix and the under in the game. The big line moves/wise guy action hasn't fared to well in the WNBA this season, batting roughly 50%.

Will try to do these on a regular basis, which is examining the betting patterns that take place overnight.

Miami at St. Louis: The Cardinals opened -170 and are down to -135 despite getting the majority of the bets, indicating some sharp money on Volquez and the Marlins.

Kansas City at Seattle: The Mariners opened -124 and are up to -131 while getting less than half the wagers, so Seattle looks to be a semi-sharp play.

San Francisco at Detroit: The Tigers have climbed up to -174, which is a bit higher than they should be based on the opening number and betting percentages that have taken place.

Figured there wasn't any need to post the numbers, since you can get the lines each day on my baseball article at where I have the current line and my line and any thoughts if there's something that scares me about a particular game.

The Edmonton Oilers were defeated by San Jose 7-0 on Tuesday. Teams who lost their last game by 5 or more goals are just 7-18 in their next game. Home teams have been better, going 4-6, which is still nothing to write home about.
